Proteomic Profiling of Primary Hippocampal Neurons Reveals Noncanonical GFAP Expression and Metabolic Adaptations in Glia‐Free Culture

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite their widespread use as a research model, a comprehensive, quantitative proteomic profile of the cultured hippocampal neurons has remained unexplored. Here, we provide the first global proteomic characterization of primary murine hippocampal neurons cultured for 14 days under near‐physiological glucose conditions (2.5 mM).

RNA‐binding protein RBMS1: A new target for cancer diagnosis and treatment

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
This schematic illustrates the diverse regulatory roles of RNA‐binding motif single‐stranded interacting protein 1 (RBMS1) across multiple human cancers. In breast cancer, RBMS1 stabilizes B4GALT1 mRNA to promote PD‐L1 glycosylation, modulating tumor immune escape and immunotherapy efficacy.

Lipid Tail Length Determines Nano‐Bio Interactions of Peptide Amphiphile Nanostructures

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that self‐assembled peptide amphiphiles (PAs) can disassemble in circulation and reassemble with blood biomolecules. While PAs with short, less hydrophobic lipid modifications mainly bind to albumin, increasing lipid hydrophobicity shifts binding to lipoproteins.
