Perioperative Camrelizumab and Apatinib for High‐Risk Resectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Phase II Study

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
In this study, perioperative camrelizumab plus apatinib demonstrated promising efficacy and safety in resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients at high risk of recurrence, achieving a major pathological response of 46.2%. The median disease‐free survival and progression‐free survival were 24.1 months and 18.3 months, respectively.

Efficacy and Safety of Co‐Ablation Combined With Aintilimab for Metastatic Melanoma to the Liver (CryoCheck‐001): A Phase II Trial

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
Liver metastasis is a key driver of immune tolerance in patients with melanoma receiving immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. This single‐arm phase II trial prospectively investigated the efficacy and safety of co‐ablation combined with sintilimab for liver metastatic melanoma.

Cancer Cell Metastasis: From Molecular Mechanisms to Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
The schematic representation of intrinsic and extrinsic influences of cancer cell metastasis. Genomic evolution of metastatic tumor cells (MTCs) promotes their metastatic phenotypes and reconstruct the primary tumor microenvironment. During MTCs migration along different routes (blood circulation, lymphatic vessels, and perineuronal spaces), the ...

Advantage of Scheduled Upfront Lenvatinib Administration Followed by Transarterial Chemoembolization Therapy Over Lenvatinib Monotherapy in Patients With Unresectable Intermediate‐Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Multicenter Cohort Study

open access: yesCancer Medicine
Background and Aim Combining systemic chemotherapy with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) has demonstrated improved outcomes, with promising results for the efficacy of lenvatinib pretreatment combined with TACE in single‐arm studies involving ...

Myasthenia Gravis and Thymoma

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, Volume 74, Issue 4, Page 1156-1173, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Thymoma is the most common tumor of the anterior mediastinum. Approximately 20%–30% of patients with a thymoma develop myasthenia gravis (MG), and an additional one third may possess positive acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibodies without MG.

Genomic Evolution and Immune Contexture With Therapeutic Relevance in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 10, Page 2619-2635, October 2026.
Lineage‐dependent immunogenomic landscapes and biologically informed therapy in pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms. Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms display lineage‐dependent immunogenomic landscapes, in which genomic alterations, epigenetic states, antigen‐presentation status, immune‐cell infiltration, and suppressive microenvironments co‐evolve ...

Iron Homeostasis and Liver Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 20, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Iron is an essential micronutrient whose ability to cycle between ferric (Fe3+) and ferrous (Fe2+) states makes it crucial for physiological processes, including oxygen transport, DNA synthesis, and oxidative phosphorylation. However, because both deficiency and excess can cause severe pathology, precise regulation is critical. The liver plays

Impact of PD‐1 Inhibitor Timing Relative to Locoregional Therapy on Outcomes in uHCC Treated With Lenvatinib‐Based Triple Therapy

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 46, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims The optimal sequencing of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‐1) inhibitors relative to locoregional therapy (LRT) in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) remains undefined. This study evaluated the impact of PD‐1 inhibitor timing on outcomes in patients receiving hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) or ...
