ABSTRACT Background Acne is a prevalent skin concern that has many therapies targeting the pilosebaceous unit. Data suggest there are underlying immuno‐inflammatory drivers contributing to acne, with evidence for the efficacy of nutraceuticals including botanicals in targeting the key root causes.
