Iron‐Tannic Acid Hydrogel Mediated Mild Photothermal Therapy Combined With Ferroptosis Enhances Anti‐Tumor Immunity in Colorectal Cancer

An injectable gelatin‐based tannic acid–iron hydrogel with mild photothermal therapy could not only induce immunogenic cell death, but also elicit ferroptosis of both tumor cells and tumor‐associated macrophages, resulting in DC maturation, T‐cell infiltration and down‐regulation of ferroptosis‐sensitive M2‐type TAMs levels.

Factor Structure of a Lethal Behaviors Scale

Factor analysis of a lethal behaviors scale that had been completed by 399 adolescents and adults indicates that lethality as a construct is multidimensional. Principal factors include a general orientation toward danger and violence, an orientation toward bravery and adventure, thrill-seeking and fast driving, and safe or unsafe habits.

Death occurs in fishes under certain circumstances following severe muscular activity. The precise cause of death is not yet known. However, it is possible that the severe disturbance to acid-base relationships following the large increase of lactic acid liberated from muscle glycogen may be the principal cause of death.
