Fatty acid synthesis in isolated leucoplasts of developing seeds of Brassica campestris L

open access: yesActa Physiologiae Plantarum, 2003
Under in vitro conditions, the fatty acid synthesis from labelled substrates was studied in the leucoplasts isolated from developing seeds of Brassica campestris L. The rate of fatty acid synthesis with Na-(1-14C) acetate was higher at lower concentrations (up to 1 mM).

Metabolism of glucose monophosphates by leucoplasts and amyloplasts from soybean suspension cultures

open access: yesPhytochemistry, 1994
Abstract Leucoplasts and amyloplasts were isolated on Nycodenz gradients from lysates of protoplasts of suspension cultures of soybean (Glycine max). The labelling of CO2 and starch was determined after incubating intact and lysed preparations of plastids with 14C-labelled substrates.
