Anaplastic large cell lymphoma in children and adolescents

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)‐positive anaplastic large‐cell lymphoma (ALCL) accounts for >95% of ALCL cases in children and adolescents. The first description of ALCL as a CD30‐positive lymphoma in 1985 was followed by the detection of chromosomal translocations involving the ALK gene at chromosome 2p23.

Protein tyrosine phosphatases as emerging targets for cancer immunotherapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Contemporary strategies in cancer immunotherapy, despite remarkable success, remain constrained by inherent limitations such as suboptimal patient responses, the emergence of drug resistance, and the manifestation of pronounced adverse effects. Consequently, the need for alternative strategies for immunotherapy becomes clear.

Assessment of Spinster homologue 2 (Spns2)‐dependent transport of sphingosine‐1‐phosphate as a therapeutic target

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 182, Issue 9, Page 2014-2030, May 2025.
Abstract Background and Purpose Sphingosine‐1‐phosphate (S1P) receptor modulator (SRM) drugs suppress immune system function by disrupting lymphocyte trafficking, but SRMs are broadly immunosuppressive with on‐target liabilities. Another strategy to modulate the immune system is to block S1P transport.

The Clinical and Molecular Characterization of Distinct Subtypes in Adult T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 116, Issue 4, Page 1126-1138, April 2025.
This study categorized T‐ALL patients into 3 distinct subgroups: ETP‐like group, immature T‐ALL group, and mature T‐ALL group based on transcriptome. ETP‐like patients exhibited characteristics of early T‐cell development, which can be identified by the ETP‐like score model. ABSTRACT T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) is a clonal proliferative

GD2 is a Crucial Ganglioside in the Signal Modulation and Application as a Target of Cancer Therapeutics

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 116, Issue 4, Page 862-870, April 2025.
Among cancer‐associated antigens, ganglioside GD2 is the most crucial and essential carbohydrate antigen as a modulator of malignant signals and as a target of immunotherapy for refractory cancers. In particular, GD2 is now believed to be a marker of cancer stem cells and to be essentially involved in the features of cancer stemness.
