Twisted Weyl groups of Lie groups and nonabelian cohomology

open access: yes, 2006
For a cyclic group $A$ and a connected Lie group $G$ with an $A$-module structure (with the additional conditions that $G$ is compact and the $A$-module structure on $G$ is 1-semisimple if $A\cong\ZZ$), we define the twisted Weyl group $W=W(G,A,T ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

(1+1) Schrodinger Lie bialgebras and their Poisson-Lie groups

open access: yes, 1999
All Lie bialgebra structures for the (1+1)-dimensional centrally extended Schrodinger algebra are explicitly derived and proved to be of the coboundary type.

Splittable Lie Groups and Lie Algebras

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2000
Let us call a finite-dimensional Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\) over a field of characteristic zero Malcev splittable if \(\operatorname {ad}{\mathfrak g}\) is splittable in the sense that for each element of \(\operatorname {ad}{\mathfrak g}\) the semisimple and nilpotent Jordan component belong to \(\operatorname {ad}{\mathfrak g}\).

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Abstract Lie groups and locally compact topological groups

open access: yesAnnales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis: Studia Mathematica, 2004
We introduce a notion of abstract Lie group by means of the mapping which plays the role of the evolution operator. We show some basic properties of such groups very similar to the fundamentals of the infinite dimensional Lie theory.

On the Structure of Lie Pseudo-Groups

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009
We compare and contrast two approaches to the structure theory for Lie pseudo-groups, the first due to Cartan, and the second due to the first two authors.

Double Schubert polynomials for the classical Lie groups [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2008
For each infinite series of the classical Lie groups of type $B$, $C$ or $D$, we introduce a family of polynomials parametrized by the elements of the corresponding Weyl group of infinite rank.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Contact Semi-Riemannian Structures in CR Geometry: Some Aspects

open access: yesAxioms, 2019
There is one-to-one correspondence between contact semi-Riemannian structures ( η , ξ , φ , g ) and non-degenerate almost CR structures ( H , ϑ , J ) .
