Lithium Fluoride: From LiF:Mg,Ti to LiF:Mg,Cu,P
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2002Differences and similarities between LiF-based LiF:Mg,Ti and LiF:Mg,Cu,P are discussed, with respect to their dosimetric properties--sensitivity, non-linearity of dose response and heavy charged particle efficiency, as related to the concentration and the individual role of the Mg, Ti, Cu and P dopants.

Evaluation of the performance of two LiF:Mg,Ti and LiF:Mg,Cu,P dosemeters for extremity monitoring
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2010In this paper, the results aimed at assessing the performance of two varieties of LiF detectors (LiF:Mg,Ti and LiF:Mg,Cu,P) in photon fields relatively to reproducibility, detection threshold and angular dependence as defined in the ISO 12794 standard are presented.

The influence of various annealing treatments on radioluminescent (RL) and thermoluminescent (TL) spectra of LiF:Mg,Cu,Si and LiF:Mg,Cu,P was investigated. The TL and RL emission bands for LiF:Mg,Cu,P are not the same; however, the emission band peaking at ∼383 nm is predominant in the TL and RL emission for LiF:Mg,Cu,Si. With the increase in annealing

FADING EFFECT OF LiF:Mg,Ti AND LiF:Mg,Cu,P Ext-Rad AND WHOLE-BODY DETECTORS
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2015Thermoluminescence dosemeters are widely used in individual and environmental monitoring. The aim of this work was to compare the thermal stability of dosemeters of the Ext-Rad and whole-body card types with LiF:Mg,Ti and LiF:Mg,Cu,P detectors stored at different temperatures and periods. The dosemeters were stored at 0°C, room temperature and 40°C for

UV-induced bleaching of deep traps in Harshaw TLD LiF:Mg,Cu,P and LiF:Mg,Ti
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2011The effects of UV-induced bleaching of deep traps on Harshaw thermoluminescent (TL) LiF:Mg,Cu,P and LiF:Mg,Ti materials were investigated. During a normal heating cycle, LiF:Mg,Cu,P is limited to a maximum temperature of 240 °C. LiF:Mg,Ti can be read to higher temperatures; however, encapsulation in polytetrafluoroethylene limits the maximum readout ...

The light sensitivity of thermoluminescent materials: LiF:Mg,Cu,P, LiF:Mg,Ti and Al2O3:C
Radiation Measurements, 2000Abstract Many thermoluminescence dosimetry (TLD) materials exhibit a variation in read-out with light exposure (including both visible and UV radiation energy) which may cause problems in environmental dosimetry. The aim of the present study was to investigate this for three newer preparations of TLD material — LiF:Mg,Ti (GR-100, DML, China), LiF:Mg ...

LiF:Mg,Ti Versus LiF:Mg,Cu,P: The Competition Heats Up
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1993Abstract Current knowledge concerning the dosimetric characteristics of LiF:Mg,Cu,P and LiF:Mg,Ti is reviewed, including glow curve structure, response to annealing procedures, trap conversion processes, dose response, tissue-equivalence, residual signal and others.

Optical and thermoluminescence properties of LiF:Cu, LiF:Mg,Cu and LiF:Mg,Cu,P single crystals
Radiation Measurements, 1998Abstract Thermoluminescence properties and optical absorption in the UV-VIS region (1.5–6.5 eV) during linear heating from RT up to 400°C of in-house grown LiF:Mg, LiF:Mg,Cu and LiF:Mg,Cu,P single crystals were investigated. TL glow curve and emission spectrum (not sensitivity) of the LiF:Mg,Cu,P single crystals are the same as for the highly ...

Glow Curve Analysis of Long-term Stability of LiF:Mg,Cu,P as Compared to LiF:Mg,Ti
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1999Over a six month period, the long-term stability of LiF:Mg,Cu,P (GR-200A, Beijing China) was compared with LiF:Mg,Ti (GR-100, Beijing China). This is of particular interest in applications where there can be considerable variations in the time intervals between TLD preparation, irradiation and readout, such as environmental, accident personal and ...

Recent Improvements in LiF:Mg,Ti and LiF:Mg,Cu,P Based Environmental Dosimetry
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1996Considerable work has been devoted in recent years to improve the low dose measurement performance of the traditional LiF:Mg,Ti and the more recent LiF:Mg,Cu,P. Some of the most significant innovations derived from these research activities, such as glow curve analysis for TL evaluation, the clarification of temperature effects in long exposures and ...
