Thermoluminescence of LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD 100) Subject to 1.25 Mega Electron Volt Gamma Radiotherapy

open access: yes, 2015
Attempt has been made to investigate the thermoluminescence (TL) of LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD 100) chip irradiated with gamma energies of 1.25 MeV. The TL response increases over a wide photon dose range, from 1.0 to 10 Gy.

Analysis of dosimetric peaks of MgB4O7:Dy (40% Teflon) versus LiF:Mg,Ti TL detectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Magnesium tetraborate doped with dysprosium (MgB4O7:Dy) is known as a good thermoluminophor for personal dosimetry of gamma ray and X-ray radiation because of its high sensitivity and close tissue equivalence.

Mechanism of Storage of Ionising Radiation Energy in LiF:Mg, Ti Crystals

open access: yes, 1990
Ionising radiation energy is stored in LiF:Mg,Ti as a result of radiative reduction of initial divalent magnesium ion-cation vacancy dipoles (Mg2+ centres) to univalent (Mg+ centres) and atomic (Mg0 centres) states.

A comparison of TLD dosimeters: LiF:Mg,Ti and LiF:Mg,Cu,P for measurement of radiation therapy doses [PDF]

open access: yesMedical Physics, 2003
TLDs (thermoLuminescent dosimeters) are used in radiation therapy to verify the radiation dose cancer patients receive. University of Virginia Radiation Oncology clinic TLD results must be fully trustworthy so physicians can confidently monitor and determine a patient's treatment.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THERMOLUMINESCENCE LiF:Mg,Cu,Ag NANOPHOSPHOR

open access: yesRadiation Protection Dosimetry, 2018
A nanophosphor of LiF:Mg,Cu,Ag was prepared by planetary ball milling for the first time in the laboratory. The size and shape of the nanophosphor were confirmed by XRD and SEM, which showed that it was cubic in shape and ~53 nm in size. The thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of this nanophosphor were then investigated.
