Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Substantiation of FAC rate and service life estimation under operation control data
Flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC) wear is the complex mechanism of damage of elements of NPP equipment and pipelines. FAC rate is determined by such factors as corrosion of metal, flow hydrodynamics, geometry of equipment elements and pipelines, applied ...

Investigation of Advanced Lifetime Calculation Procedure for Steam Turbines in Flexible Operation
At high intermittent renewable energy share, plants are forced to operate more flexible beyond their original design intent. Many plants are older than 30 years with only limited residual lifetime.

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

TOUSCHEK LIFETIME CALCULATIONS AND SIMULATIONS FOR NSLS-II [PDF]
The beam lifetime in most medium energy synchrotron radiation sources is limited by the Touschek effect, which describes the momentum transfer from the transverse into the longitudinal direction due to binary collisions between electrons.

Positron Lifetime Calculation for Plastic Deformed Nanocrystalline Copper
Positron lifetime calculation has been performed on a computer-generated nanocrystalline copper with a mean grain size of 9.1 nm during its deformation. For the undeformed and deformed nanocrystalline copper, calculated positron lifetimes are around 157 ...
