Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Pediatric pleural tuberculosis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mycobacteriology, 2018
Background: Pleural tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis is sometimes controversial because the microbiologic confirmation ratio is very low in pleural fluid. There are few pediatric pleural TB case series in the literature.

تعيين ارزش تشخيصی نسبت کلسترول و بيلی‌روبين مايع پلور به سرم در تعيين نوع افيوژن پلور [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Large Scale Earth's Bow Shock with Northern IMF as simulated by PIC code in parallel with MHD model

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we propose a 3D kinetic model (Particle-in-Cell PIC ) for the description of the large scale Earth's bow shock. The proposed version is stable and does not require huge or extensive computer resources.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Pleural fluid characteristics of patients with COVID‐19 infection

open access: yesThe Clinical Respiratory Journal
Introduction Pleural effusions are known to occur in many cases of COVID‐19. Data on typical characteristics of COVID‐19‐associated pleural effusions are limited. The goal of this project was to characterize the pleural fluid from patients with COVID‐19.

Evaluation of the performance of biochemical ratios and albumin’s gradient in the etiological exploration of ascitic fluid

open access: yesJournal de la Faculté de Médecine d'Oran
Introduction Biochemical exploration of effusion fluids plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of underlying pathologies. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of biochemical ratios and the albumin gradients in the diagnostic process of ascitic
