Targeting the EpCAM‐AXL axis to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells often evade therapy by hijacking signaling pathways. We reveal that cleaved EpCAM (sEpCAM) stabilizes the oncogenic protein AXL, driving NF‐κB and STAT3‐mediated chemoresistance. This EpCAM‐AXL axis identifies a high‐risk patient subset with poor prognosis.

VIS-Light-Induced Degradation of Street Art Paints and Organic Pigments
Contemporary murals are highly susceptible to rapid color fading due to outdoor urban exposure. This study investigates the photodegradation mechanisms affecting synthetic organic pigments (SOPs) and commercial acrylic–vinyl paints under simulated ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

Understanding the mechanisms of light-induced degradation in crystalline silicon
The boron-oxygen-related light-induced degradation (BO-LID) and light- and elevated temperature-induced degradation (LeTID) are two common types of light-induced degradation (LID) in silicon solar cells that significantly impact performance. Despite years of research for LeTID and decades for BO-LID, the fundamental mechanisms are still poorly ...

IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.
