Light-Induced Protein Degradation with Photocaged PROTACs

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2019
Induction of protein degradation is emerging as a powerful strategy to modulate protein functions and alter cellular signaling pathways. Proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) have been used to degrade a range of diverse proteins in vitro and in vivo. Here we present a type of photo-caged PROTACs (pc-PROTACs) to induce degradation activity with light.

Light induced degradation in mixed-halide perovskites

open access: yesJournal of Materials Chemistry C, 2019
The photo-stability of MAPbI x Br 3−x is systematically studied by in situ photoluminescence and Raman spectroscopy to reveal the phase segregation/decomposition process.

Light-induced degradation in indium-doped silicon

Physica Status Solidi - Rapid Research Letters, 2013
AbstractLight‐induced degradation of charge carrier lifetime was observed in indium‐doped silicon. After defect formation, an annealing step at 200 °C for 10 min deactivates the defect and the initial charge carrier lifetime is fully recovered. The observed time range of the defect kinetics is similar to the well known defect kinetics of the light ...

Visible light induced photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants

Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology C: Photochemistry Reviews, 2005
Abstract In this paper, visible light assisted degradation of various pollutants using different methods has been briefly reviewed. These methods have been broadly divided into two main categories. In the first category, the use of TiO2 semiconductor facilitating the photooxidative degradation of organic pollutants has been presented.

Light-Induced Degradation of Metal-Free Organic Perovskites

The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2022
Perovskites have attracted great interest in optoelectronics and photonics. As a new class of perovskites, metal-free perovskites have drawn growing attention due to the absence of toxic metal elements in them and their wide chemical diversity. Taking MDABCO-NH4I3 (MDBACO = N-methyl-N'-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octonium) and MDABCO-NH4Br3 as examples, our ...
