Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Application of Cyclodextrins Stabilized Pickering Emulsion in Gluten-free Rice Bread

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
To investigate the effect of cyclodextrins (CDs) stabilized Pickering emulsions on the quality of gluten-free rice bread, the corn oil Pickering emulsions stabilized by α-CD, β-CD or γ-CD were prepared and applied to gluten-free rice bread respectively ...

Colorimetric Method Based on CeO2/CoOOH Nanozyme for Rapid Detection of Ascorbic Acid in Fruits [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
In this study, cerium dioxide-modified cobalt oxyhydroxide (CeO2/CoOOH) nanomaterial was synthesized by a liquid-phase precipitation method. CeO2/CoOOH showed good oxidase-like activity toward 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB), and could directly ...

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

A comparative study on the PSE-like chicken breast meat protein isolate-sunflower oil emulsion stability, rheological properties and gel properties by different additions of l-Lysine

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
In order to improve the emulsion gel properties of PSE (pale, soft, and exudative)-like chicken meat protein isolate (PPI), effect of different addition of l-lysine (L-Lys) on the emulsifying and gel properties of PPI-sunflower oil emulsion were studied ...
