Rank analysis of a light field for dual-layer 3D displays
2015 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2015In this paper, a new type of 3D display, called a layered light-field display, was investigated. By using only a few light-attenuating layers located in front of a backlight, this display can present many views in different directions simultaneously without sacrificing the resolutions of each view.

Analysis for reproduced light field of 3D displays
2010 3DTV-Conference: The True Vision - Capture, Transmission and Display of 3D Video, 2010A method has been developed for analyzing the characteristics of light fields reproduced by 3D displays and for determining the maximum depth of images on a 3D display. Use of this method will enable identification of which type of 3D display is best for certain applications and will facilitate the design 3D displays.

Implementation of a tabletop 3D display based on light field reproduction
ACM SIGGRAPH 2010 Posters, 2010A tabletop is a useful shared space for diverse collaborative tasks. If the tabletop is considered to be interface, then expression through visual sensation, especially 3D images, is an important way to engage the principal human sense. Many 3D displays that can be observed from any direction have been proposed in recent years. However, some techniques

Accommodation response for visually equivalent light field 3D display
2017 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2017Visually Equivalent Light Field 3D (VELF3D) is an autostereoscopic flat-panel 3D display. Though it has a very simple structure, it can reproduce not only binocular parallax and convergence but also smooth motion parallax. It displays multiple viewing zones and uses oblong pixels and a parallax barrier to enable adjacent zones to be linearly blended ...

P‐3.6: Local compensation in 3D light field display
SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers, 2022In this study, two local calibration method of 3D display screen is used to accurately measure and adjust the local parameter deviation in large‐size 3D display screen. They can improve the yield of 3D display screen, enhance the imaging quality of display screen and reduce crosstalk.

Light field display and 3D image reconstruction
SPIE Proceedings, 2016Light field optics and its applications become rather popular in these days. With light field optics or light field thesis, real 3D space can be described in 2D plane as 4D data, which we call as light field data. This process can be divided in two procedures. First, real3D scene is optically reduced with imaging lens. Second, this optically reduced 3D

Integration of real-time 3D capture, reconstruction, and light-field display
SPIE Proceedings, 2015Effective integration of 3D acquisition, reconstruction (modeling) and display technologies into a seamless systems provides augmented experience of visualizing and analyzing real objects and scenes with realistic 3D sensation. Applications can be found in medical imaging, gaming, virtual or augmented reality and hybrid simulations.

ACM SIGGRAPH 2015 Emerging Technologies, 2015
Holographic displays have long inspired science fiction writers and movie makers as the communication platform of the future. Why should we restrict ourselves to a two-dimensional screen if we can transmit our virtual selves in 3D? Despite striking advances in holographic display and 3D capture technologies, we are taking a step further in developing a

High-resolution 3D model reconstruction for light field display
Holography, Diffractive Optics, and Applications IX, 2019In recent years, 3D display technique is one of the emerging technology and gradually becomes accessible to a broader audience. However, because of the traditional 3D reconstruction method is limited by the number of the feature found in the image, the resolution of the generated 3D model is not high enough for 3D display.
