Investigating the Impact of Random Field Element Size on Soil Slope Reliability Analysis
The determination of the optimal random field element (RFE) size is crucial in soil slope reliability analysis as it governs the trade-off between precision in failure probability calculations and computational efficiency.

Long time limit of equilibrium glassy dynamics and replica calculation
It is shown that the limit $t-t'\to\infty$ of the equilibrium dynamic self-energy can be computed from the $n\to 1$ limit of the static self-energy of a $n$-times replicated system with one step replica symmetry breaking structure.

On the beliefs off the path: equilibrium refinement due to quantal response and level-k [PDF]
This paper studies the relevance of equilibrium and nonequilibrium explanations of behavior, with respects to equilibrium refinement, as players gain experience. We investigate this experimentally using an incomplete information sequential move game with

Study on instability mode of double weak layer burnt rock slope
In order to study the failure mode of double weak layer slope of burnt rock in opencast coal mine, the failure and deformation characteristics of the slope were analyzed by means of FLAC3D numerical simulation, and the mechanical model of the slope was ...

Galilean Limit of Equilibrium Relativistic Mass Distribution
The low-temperature form of the equilibrium relativistic mass distribution is subject to the Galilean limit by taking $c\rightarrow \infty .$ In this limit the relativistic Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution passes to the usual nonrelativistic form and the ...

The out-equilibrium 2D Ising spin glass: almost, but not quite, a free-field theory [PDF]
We consider the spatial correlation function of the two-dimensional Ising spin glass under out-equilibrium conditions. We pay special attention to the scaling limit reached upon approaching zero temperature.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
