Recent advances in stability analysis and design of 3D slopes
Slope failures in nature and engineering are typically three-dimensional (3D). The rotational failure mechanism derived from the variational limit equilibrium (LE) method shows superior performance in the stability analysis of the 3D slope.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Equilibrium Propagation Without Limits
We liberate Equilibrium Propagation (EP) from the limit of infinitesimal perturbations by establishing a finite-nudge foundation for local credit assignment. By modeling network states as Gibbs-Boltzmann distributions rather than deterministic points, we prove that the gradient of the difference in Helmholtz free energy between a nudged and free phase ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Reclassification of thermal equilibrium phase-transitions in thermodynamic limit systems
For relaxor-ferroelectrics and relaxor-ferromagnets, the initial Ehrenfest-classification gives no phase-transition that contradicts the measured order-parameter, while the classification according to order-parameter and its derivatives raises the ...

Numerical Optimization Analyses of Dangerous Rock Mass Sliding Failure Under Freeze-thaw Cycles
The action of freeze-thaw (F–T) cycles is the main inducement for the collapse and instability of dangerous rock mass in cold regions, and it is particularly important to carry out numerical optimization analysis on the disaster pregnant factors of ...

Influence of impact forces on the strength characteristics of the railway roadbed
The article presents the results of studies on the influence of impact forces on the strength characteristics of the soil of the main site of the roadbed (MSRB). It is shown that impulsive shock forces of 360 ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
