Limonoids of calamondin seeds

Tetrahedron, 1981
Abstract Five new limonoids were isolated from calamondin seeds: methyl deacetylnomilinate (7), calamin (9), retrocalamin (10), cyclocalamin (11), and methyl isoobacunoate diosphenol (13). Structures were assigned on the basis of 1H and 13CNMR spectra, and chemical conversions of 9 to 10, 11, and 13. These reactions are also biogenetically plausible.

Phragmalin Limonoids from Chukrasia tabularis

ChemInform, 2004
Six phragmalin limonoids, named tabulalin and tabulalides A-E, were isolated from the root bark of Chukrasia tabularis (Meliaceae). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods, and their antifeedant properties evaluated.

Limonoids from the fruits of Melia toosendan

Phytochemistry, 2012
Fifteen limonoids, meliatoosenins E-S (1-15), and 10 known compounds were isolated from the fruits of Melia toosendan. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods including DEPT, HSQC, HMBC, (1)H-(1)H COSY, and ROESY experiments.

Simple Enantioselective Approach to Synthetic Limonoids

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2008
An enantioselective and short approach to the synthesis of limonoids has been applied successfully to the simplest limonoid, 2. The carbon atoms of the tetracyclic framework were assembled in a single operation from the acylsilane 3 and the acetylenic sulfone 4 to form the chiral epoxide 5.

Limonoid content of sour orange varieties

Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 2011
AbstractBACKGROUND: Modern Citrus cultivars are thought to have arisen from three parents: the pummelo, the mandarin, and citron. Taxological and genetic data support that sweet and sour oranges share a common parentage. However, as their name suggests, the organoleptic properties of the fruit from these two families is distinctly different.

Limonoid derivatives from Astrotrichilia voamatata

Phytochemistry, 2000
The stem bark of Astrotrichilia voamatata (Meliaceae) has yielded the novel limonoids voamatins C and D. These compounds represent a new type of pentanortriterpenoid and are unique in containing a ring A cyclic ether.

Degraded limonoids from Melia azedarach

Phytochemistry, 1998
Two new degraded limonoids, azedararide and 12alpha-acetoxy fraxinellone, were isolated together with two known degraded limonoids, fraxinellone and fraxinellonone, as ichthyotoxic substances from the root bark of Melia azedarach. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical means.
