Melanogenesis‐Inhibitory Activities of Isomeric C‐seco Limonoids and Deesterified Limonoids

Chemistry & Biodiversity, 2016
Treatment of eight C‐seco limonoids including six of salannin‐type, 1 – 6, and two of nimbin‐type, 7 and 8, with a combination of BF3 · Et2O and iodide ion yielded the isomeric C‐seco derivatives, i.e., six isosalannins, 1a – 6a, and two isonimbins, 7a and 8a, respectively.

Toonaolides A-X, limonoids from Toona ciliata: Isolation, structural elucidation, and bioactivity against NLRP3 inflammasome.

Bioorganic chemistry (Print), 2020
Twenty-four new limonoids, toonaolides A-X (1-24), characterized with an α,β-unsaturated-γ-lactone A-ring were isolated from the twigs of Toona ciliata. Their structures and absolute configurations were elucidated by spectroscopic data, X-ray diffraction

Cytotoxic Limonoids from Melia azedarach

Planta Medica, 2012
Five new compounds (1-5), including two limonoids, one triterpenoid, one steroid, and one sesquiterpenoid, along with nine known limonoids (6-14), were isolated from the bark of Melia azedarach. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by 2D NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.

Degraded limonoids from Melia azedarach

Phytochemistry, 1998
Two new degraded limonoids, azedararide and 12alpha-acetoxy fraxinellone, were isolated together with two known degraded limonoids, fraxinellone and fraxinellonone, as ichthyotoxic substances from the root bark of Melia azedarach. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical means.

Limonoids from Ekebergia pterophylla

Phytochemistry, 1984
Abstract The seed of Ekebergia pterophylla contains limonoids closely related to methyl angolensate, and similar to those of other Ekebergia species. This serves as evidence to support the taxonomic position of the species which has been disputed.

Limonoids from Atalantia zeylanica

Phytochemistry, 1994
Abstract A limonoid glucoside and two aglycones, structurally related to the unusual propellane-type limonoid cycloepiatalantin, were isolated from Atalantia zeylanica seeds. The molecular conformation of cycloepiatalantin was determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
