Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Design and Analysis of the Gear Conjugate Profile based on the Sine- curved Benchmark Tooth Profile

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2015
The benchmark tooth profile of gear cutter is designed to a sine curve. The gear conjugate profile is solved by tooth profile normal method. The meshing line, curvature and relative sliding ratio are analyzed, and then the bending strength is analyzed ...

Straight-line string with curvature

open access: yes, 1995
Classical and quantum solutions for the relativistic straight-line string with arbitrary dependence on the world surface curvature are obtained. They differ from the case of the usual Nambu-Goto interaction by the behaviour of the Regge trajectory which in general can be nonlinear.

Generalized Dupin Cyclides with Rational Lines of Curvature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Dupin cyclides are algebraic surfaces of order three and four whose lines of curvature are circles. These surfaces have a variety of interesting properties and are aesthetic from a geometric and algebraic viewpoint. Besides their special property with respect to lines of curvature they appear as envelopes of one-parameter families of spheres in a ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Single-valuedness of the AdS Veneziano amplitude

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We consider the Veneziano amplitude for the scattering of gluons in type IIB string theory on AdS 5 × S 5/ℤ 2 in the presence of D7 branes. On general grounds curvature corrections around flat space can be thought of as arising from the extra insertion ...

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Craniocervical Posture and Cervical Curvature Variations in Adult Females with Different Vertical Facial Patterns: A Cross-Sectional Study

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This study aimed to determine whether there are relationships between vertical facial patterns, cervical posture, and cervical curvature types. Ninety-two adult females with skeletal Class I relationships were retrospectively analyzed and divided into ...
