Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Design and Analysis of the Gear Conjugate Profile based on the Sine- curved Benchmark Tooth Profile
The benchmark tooth profile of gear cutter is designed to a sine curve. The gear conjugate profile is solved by tooth profile normal method. The meshing line, curvature and relative sliding ratio are analyzed, and then the bending strength is analyzed ...

Straight-line string with curvature
Classical and quantum solutions for the relativistic straight-line string with arbitrary dependence on the world surface curvature are obtained. They differ from the case of the usual Nambu-Goto interaction by the behaviour of the Regge trajectory which in general can be nonlinear.

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Single-valuedness of the AdS Veneziano amplitude
We consider the Veneziano amplitude for the scattering of gluons in type IIB string theory on AdS 5 × S 5/ℤ 2 in the presence of D7 branes. On general grounds curvature corrections around flat space can be thought of as arising from the extra insertion ...

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Adherent Peanut Image Segmentation Based on Multi-Modal Fusion
Aiming at the problem of the difficult segmentation of adherent images due to the not fully convex shape of peanut pods, their complex surface texture, and their diverse structures, a multimodal fusion algorithm is proposed to achieve a 2D segmentation ...
