The coronal line region of active galactic nuclei

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
Forbidden coronal lines has traditionally called the attention due to the high-energy photons required for their production (IP >100 eV, where IP is the ionisation potential of the transitions that originate the line).

Effects of Stromgren Sphere on Line Profiles of 32 CYG with Alfven Waves Driven Wind [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1998
We calculated line profiles of 32 Cyg with an assumed stromgren sphere at orbital phases 0.06 and 0.78. The wind models with Alfven waves show diminished line profiles compared to those of the models using power velocity laws.

Comparisons and Comments on Electron and Ion Impact Profiles of Spectral Lines

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2011
Stark broadening theory is currently operated for calculating widths and shifts of spectral lines that are needed for spectroscopic diagnostics and modeling in astrophysics, laboratory and technological plasmas. We have calculated a great number of data,

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Synchrotron X-ray Diffraction Line Profile

open access: yesFizika A : a journal of experimental and theoretical physics, 1997
We analyse diffraction line profiles obtained at the X3B1 National Synchrotron Light Source powder-diffraction beamline. Calculated diffraction-line widths are compared to the measurements of a National Institute of Science and Technology Standard Reference Material, LaB6.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Inference of the physical parameters of Hα-absorbing plasma structures in the quiet Sun

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
On-disk Hα light-absorbing plasma structures such as mottles, fibrils, filaments, and Hα jets are observable magnetohydrodynamic features in the upper solar chromosphere.

Phase- and Inclination-Dependent Line Profiles of 32 Cygni [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1992
The line profiles of 32 Cyg have been calculated by integrating the equation of transfer numerically. In order to determine the source function the two level atom and complete redistribution were assumed and Sobolev approximation was used.

Solar prominences line profiles

open access: yes, 1994
A numerical code to calculate the line profiles for different elements present in the solar atmosphere was developed for the particular case of solar prominences. The objective is to compare the calculated with the observed profiles in order to limit the range of variation of the physical parameters, as temperature, pressure, electronic density, total ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox
