Line x tester analysis for plant height and head diametar in sunflower (Helianthus annuus) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
One of the prime tasks of sunflower breeding is the development of inbred lines by interspecific hybridization in order to obtain high-yielding and stable hybrids.

Genetic studies of quantitative traits in interspecific hybrids of tetraploid cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. X Gossypium barbadense L.) [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2014
Forty five inter specific hybrids between tetraploid species, G. hirsutum x G. barbadense derived involving nine diverse female parents of G.hirsutum and five pollen parents of G.barbadense were evaluated to study heterosis and combining ability for seed

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

ADDITIVE AND NON-ADDITIVE GENE EFFECTS FOR QUANTITATIVE TRAITS THROUGH LINE X TESTER ANALYSIS IN MULBERRY SILKWORM

open access: yes, 2010
Combining ability effects were studied for thirteen quantitative parameters in silkworm Bombyx mori through line x tester mating design. Three evolved multivoltine lines (MU1, MU11, MU303) and one popular multivoltine race Pure Mysore were involved in ...

Determination of combining ability and hybrid performance of some pea (Pisum sativum L.) lines obtained by crossing with line X tester analysis method

open access: yes, 2019
Three female (USA5, Vesela and Oranlij) and three male (Ater, Taskent and Ozkaynak) field pea genotypes were used as parents and crossed in 2013 and 2014 according to the Line x Tester analysis method. The obtained F1 hybrids and the parents were planted

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Finding Ranking of Testers in Line X Tester Experiments

open access: yes, 2015
Improvement of crop traits, mainly the characteristics of yield and the extension of genetic variability is the goal of many of breeding projects. It can be realized e.g. by using appropriate forms of parental crosses schemes.
