Combining ability analysis and estimation of heterosis for agronomic and oil parameters in sunflower

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding
Combining ability of nine sunflower inbreds (four cytoplasmic male sterile lines and five restorers) was tested in line x tester mating design. The material including parents and cross combinations were evaluated for nine agro-biochemical parameters. The

Combining ability analysis for grain yield and its contributing traits in maize (Zea mays L.) over environments

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2017
Combining ability analysis for grain yield and its contributing traits in maize was performed with 15 inbred line and 3 tester parents and the resulting 45 hybrids using line x tester cross analysis in three environments during kharif and rabi 2014. The

Agent Based Test and Repair of Distributed Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This article demonstrates how to use intelligent agents for testing and repairing a distributed system, whose elements may or may not have embedded BIST (Built-In Self-Test) and BISR (Built-In Self-Repair) facilities.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Genetic studies of quantitative traits in interspecific hybrids of tetraploid cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. X Gossypium barbadense L.) [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2014
Forty five inter specific hybrids between tetraploid species, G. hirsutum x G. barbadense derived involving nine diverse female parents of G.hirsutum and five pollen parents of G.barbadense were evaluated to study heterosis and combining ability for seed

Heterosis studies in sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2017
Heterosis for seed yield and its components was studied in a set of line x tester crosses of 10 lines and 5 testers. The analysis of variance revealed highly significant differences among the genotypes for all the characters indicating that the ...

MC-TESTER v. 1.23: a universal tool for comparisons of Monte Carlo predictions for particle decays in high energy physics

open access: yes, 2010
Theoretical predictions in high energy physics are routinely provided in the form of Monte Carlo generators. Comparisons of predictions from different programs and/or different initialization set-ups are often necessary.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
