Epidemiology of Peste des Petits Ruminants in Nigeria: A Review
Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is a major constraint to the productivity of small ruminants in Nigeria. Understanding of the current epidemiological status of PPR is crucial to its effective control.

CAM Kinase IV Regulates Lineage Commitment and Survival of Erythroid Progenitors in a Non-Cell–Autonomous Manner [PDF]
Developmental functions of calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IV (CaM KIV) have not been previously investigated. Here, we show that CaM KIV transcripts are widely distributed during embryogenesis and that strict regulation of CaM KIV activity is essential for normal primitive erythropoiesis.

Community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) was recognized worldwide during the 1990s; in less than a decade, several genetically distinct CA-MRSA lineages carrying Panton-Valentine leukocidin genes have emerged on every ...

Pulmonary alveolar type I cell population consists of two distinct subtypes that differ in cell fate. [PDF]
Pulmonary alveolar type I (AT1) cells cover more than 95% of alveolar surface and are essential for the air-blood barrier function of lungs. AT1 cells have been shown to retain developmental plasticity during alveolar regeneration.

STOCHASTIC DYNAMICS OF CELL LINEAGE IN TISSUE HOMEOSTASIS. [PDF]
During epithelium tissue maintenance, lineages of cells differentiate and proliferate in a coordinated way to provide the desirable size and spatial organization of different types of cells.

LSD1-mediated enhancer silencing attenuates retinoic acid signalling during pancreatic endocrine cell development. [PDF]
Developmental progression depends on temporally defined changes in gene expression mediated by transient exposure of lineage intermediates to signals in the progenitor niche.
