Gelfand Models for Diagram Algebras [PDF]
A Gelfand model for a semisimple algebra $\mathsf{A}$ over $\mathbb{C}$ is a complex linear representation that contains each irreducible representation of $\mathsf{A}$ with multiplicity exactly one.

Noetherianity up to conjugation of locally diagonal inverse limits [PDF]
We prove that the inverse limit of the sequence dual to a sequence of Lie algebras is Noetherian up to the action of the direct limit of the corresponding sequence of classical algebraic groups when the sequence of groups consists of diagonal embeddings.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

A Conjugative Linear Plasmid inStreptomyces laurentiiATCC31255
Plasmid pSLL of Streptomyces laurentii ATCC31255 (wild-type strain P0) is a 93-kilobase linear DNA plasmid that carries a protein bound to each 5' end of the DNA. It was self-transmitted to the pSLL-cured strain by conjugation in solid culture. The pSLL-cured strain carried a circular plasmid, pSLS, and showed a marked decrease in spore formation and ...

We consider the structure of the set of piecewise meromorphic solutions to the linear conjugation problem for a two-dimensional vector and study its relations with the fractional-linear conjugation problem.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

On the properties of the linear conjugate gradient method
The linear conjugate gradient method is an efficient iterative method for the convex quadratic minimization problems $ \mathop {\min }\limits_{x \in { \mathbb R^n}} f(x) =\dfrac{1}{2}x^TAx+b^Tx $, where $ A \in R^{n \times n} $ is symmetric and positive definite and $ b \in R^n $. It is generally agreed that the gradients $ g_k $ are not conjugate with

Idempotents in a space with conjugation
Let H be a complex Hilbert space with conjugation operator J. We study J-real operators and we have covered J-regular subspaces. We prove that for given bounded idempotent p there exists a conjugation operator J0 such that p is a J0-projection, i.e.

Strukturelle Anordnung des fremdsprachlichen Materials
The structural arrangement of material for teaching a foreign language is connected with the choice of appropriate words and grammatical constructions, taking into consideration learners’ ages and the conditions of the glottodidactic process.
