The objective of the study is to develop a mathematical model and corresponding methodology that allows, based on available empirical observations (market data), in a comparative approach, to create an assessment of the market value of a single real ...

Linear forms in logarithms and exponential Diophantine equations [PDF]
This paper aims to show two things. Firstly the importance of Alan Baker's work on linear forms in logarithms for the development of the theory of exponential Diophantine equations. Secondly how this theory is the culmination of a series of greater and smaller discoveries.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Fuchs' theorem on linear differential equations in arbitrary characteristic
The paper generalizes Lazarus Fuchs' theorem on the solutions of complex ordinary linear differential equations with regular singularities to the case of ground fields of arbitrary characteristic, giving a precise description of the shape of each ...

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Modular Galois representations and linear forms in abelian logarithms
Les travaux de cette thèse portent sur l’étude des propriétés des représentations galoisiennes attachées aux formes modulaires et sur la théorie des formes linéaires de logarithmes abéliens.

The D’Alembert Inevitability Theorem
We study functions satisfying the composition law F(xy)+F(x/y)=P(F(x),F(y)) with a symmetric polynomial combiner P. We prove that symmetry together with a quadratic degree bound on P forces a composition law of d’Alembert type.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches.
