Non-linear reasoning for invariant synthesis [PDF]
Automatic generation of non-linear loop invariants is a long-standing challenge in program analysis, with many applications. For instance, reasoning about exponentials provides a way to find invariants of digital-filter programs, and reasoning about ...

ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is one of the most treatable forms of paediatric cancer; however, there is a substantial burden of treatment‐related toxicities (TRTs). In addition, the long‐term changes in children's health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) due to toxic treatments are not well understood.

Impact of Metastatic Patterns on Survival and Response to Therapy in Neuroblastoma
ABSTRACT Background While the presence of metastases in neuroblastoma (NB) is a well‐established prognostic factor, the clinical significance of dissemination patterns and tumour burden and their impact on response and survival remains poorly understood.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

A linear Fuchsian equation with variable indices [PDF]
We construct three types of solutions for a Fuchsian equation with variable indices: (1) branched solutions involving logarithms of the time variable t; (2) solutions involving tx, where x is a space variable; and, (3) for a model case, exact solutions ...

The Two-loop Anomalous Dimension Matrix for Soft Gluon Exchange [PDF]
The resummation of soft gluon exchange for QCD hard scattering requires a matrix of anomalous dimensions. We compute this matrix directly for arbitrary 2 {yields} n massless processes for the first time at two loops.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
