Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Instability of Non-Linear Functional Differential Equations of Fifth Order

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical and Fundamental Sciences, 2014
In this paper, we study the instability properties of solutions of a kind of functional differential equations of the fifth order with constant delay. Using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, we obtain certain sufficient conditions to guarantee

Integrating Bernstein and Improved Block-Pulse Functions for Solving Linear Fredholm Integro-Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Pure and Applied Science
Mathematical modeling of real-life problems usually results in some form of functional equations, e.g. algebraic equations, differential equations, integral equations and others.

Extension of the Kantorovich Theorem to Equations in Vector Metric Spaces: Applications to Functional Differential Equations

open access: yes, 2023
The equation G(x,x)=y˜, where G:X×X→Y, and X,Y are vector metric spaces (meaning that the values of a distance between the points in these spaces belong to some cones E+,M+ of a Banach space E and a linear space M, respectively), is ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Global extrapolation procedures for linear partial differential equations

open access: yes, 1987
Global extrapolation procedures, in space and time are considered for the numerical Solution of linear partial differential equations. Global extrapolation procedures in time only are reviewed.

Prabhakar-type linear differential equations with variable coefficients

open access: yes, 2022
Linear differential equations with variable coefficients and Prabhakar-type operators featuring Mittag-Leffler kernels are solved. In each case, the unique solution is constructed explicitly as a convergent infinite series involving compositions of ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

New Oscillation Criteria for Second-Order Forced Quasilinear Functional Differential Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We establish some new interval oscillation criteria for a general class of second-order forced quasilinear functional differential equations with ϕ-Laplacian operator and mixed nonlinearities.

The Multivariate Theory of Functional Connections: Theory, Proofs, and Application in Partial Differential Equations

open access: yes, 2020
This article presents a reformulation of the Theory of Functional Connections: a general methodology for functional interpolation that can embed a set of user-specified linear constraints. The reformulation presented in this paper exploits the underlying
