Effect of temperature on fatigue life behaviour of aluminium alloy AA6061 using analytical approach

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences, 2016
This paper presents the effect of temperature on the fatigue life behaviour of aluminium alloy AA6061, under constant loading conditions, by using an analytical approach.

A non-linear interpolation formula

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1982
AbstractIn 1915, E. T. Whittaker showed that an L2 function, whose Fourier tranform has compact support, can be interpolated on an arithmetic progression: the well-known Cardinal series, or Sampling Representation. In the present paper, a class of non-linear interpolation formulae like the sampling representation are derived, in which the points of ...

Linear equations and interpolation in Boolean algebra

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 1984
AbstractThe authors generalize the classical interpolation formula for Boolean functions of n variables. A characterization of all interpolating systems with 2n elements is obtained. The methods of proof used are intimately related to the solution of linear Boolean equations.

Genomics‐led approach to drug testing in models of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
GA text Genomic data from undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma patients and preclinical models were used to inform a targeted drug screen. Selected compounds were tested in 2D and 3D cultures of UPS cell lines. A combination of trametinib and infigratinib was synergistic in the majority of UPS cell lines tested, which was further confirmed in an ex ...

Unraveling LINE‐1 retrotransposition in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel RetroTest method allows the detection of L1 activation in clinical samples with low DNA input, providing global L1 activity and the identification of the L1 source element. We applied RetroTest to a real‐world cohort of HNSCC patients where we reported an early L1 activation, with more than 60% of T1 patients showing L1 activity.

BMP antagonist CHRDL2 enhances the cancer stem‐cell phenotype and increases chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Integrative miRNOMe profiling reveals the miR‐195‐5p–CHEK1 axis and its impact on luminal breast cancer outcomes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In luminal (ER+) breast carcinoma (BC), miRNA profiling identified miR‐195‐5p as a key regulator of proliferation that targets CHEK1, CDC25A, and CCNE1. High CHEK1 expression correlates with worse relapse‐free survival after chemotherapy, especially in patients with luminal A subtype.
