Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular

Operator Aczel inequality [PDF]
We establish several operator versions of the classical Aczel inequality. One of operator versions deals with the weighted operator geometric mean and another is related to the positive sesquilinear forms. Some applications including the unital positive linear maps on $C^*$-algebras and the unitarily invariant norms on matrices are presented.

Orthogonality of bounded linear operators on complex Banach spaces
We study Birkhoff-James orthogonality of bounded linear operators on complex Banach spaces and obtain a complete characterization of the same. By means of introducing new definitions, we illustrate that it is possible in the complex case, to develop a ...

Operator-valued measures and linear operators
AbstractWe study operator-valued measures m:Σ→L(X,Y), where L(X,Y) stands for the space of all continuous linear operators between real Banach spaces X and Y and Σ is a σ-algebra of sets. We extend the Bartle–Dunford–Schwartz theorem and the Orlicz–Pettis theorem for vector measures to the case of operator-valued measures.

Breast cancer metastasis is associated with myeloid cell dysregulation and the lung‐specific accumulation of tumor‐supportive Gr1+ cells. Gr1+ cells support metastasis, in part, through a CHI3L1‐mediated mechanism, which can be targeted and inhibited with cargo‐free, polymeric nanoparticles.

Narrow operators on lattice-normed spaces and vector measures [PDF]
We consider linear narrow operators on lattice-normed spaces. We prove that, under mild assumptions, every finite rank linear operator is strictly narrow (before it was known that such operators are narrow). Then we show that every dominated, order continuous linear operator from a lattice-normed space over atomless vector lattice to an atomic lattice ...

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Lower estimates for linear operators with smooth range [PDF]
We introduce a new method to prove lower estimates for the approximation error of general linear operators with smooth range in terms of classical moduli of smoothness and related $K$-functionals. In addition, we explicitly show how to derive lower estimates for positive linear operators with smooth range and apply this result to classical ...

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.
