Direct integrals of strongly irreducible operators [PDF]
Strongly irreducible operators can be considered as building blocks for bounded linear operators on complex separable Hilbert spaces. Many bounded linear operators can be written as direct sums of at most countably many strongly irreducible operators.

Subordination preserving properties associated with a class of operators
The purpose of this paper is to find some subordination preserving properties of analytic functions associated with a class of operators with complex parameters.

Moment problems for operator polynomials
We extend Haviland's theorem on the integral representation of positive linear functionals on usual (real multivariate) polynomials to the integral representation of positive linear maps on operator polynomials mapping into the space of operators.

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

Local linear dependence of linear partial differential operators [PDF]
We show that any finite set of linear partial differential operators with continuous coefficients is linearly dependent if and only if it is locally linearly dependent. It follows that the reflexive closure of any finite set of such operators is equal to its linear span.

Entangling power and operator entanglement in qudit systems
We establish the entangling power of a unitary operator on a general finite-dimensional bipartite quantum system with and without ancillas, and give relations between the entangling power based on the von Neumann entropy and the entangling power based on

Value Distribution and Linear Operators [PDF]
AbstractNevanlinna's second main theorem is a far-reaching generalization of Picard's theorem concerning the value distribution of an arbitrary meromorphic function f. The theorem takes the form of an inequality containing a ramification term in which the zeros and poles of the derivative f′ appear.

This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Operator synthesis II. Individual synthesis and linear operator equations
The second part of our work on operator synthesis deals with individual operator synthesis of elements in some tensor products, in particular in Varopoulos algebras, and its connection with linear operator equations.
