Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Non-dispersive wavepackets generated in layered structures by a scanning laser source

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
In this article, we describe the use of a continuous-wave laser scanning method to generate non-dispersive surface acoustic wavepackets, which propagate along the sample surface without any waveform change.

Subcritical switching dynamics and humidity effects in nanoscale studies of domain growth in ferroelectric thin films

open access: yes, 2015
Ferroelectric domain switching in c-axis-oriented epitaxial Pb(Zr$_{0.2}$Ti$_{0.8}$)O$_3$ thin films was studied using biased scanning probe microscopy tips.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

One microwave imaging system based on automotive radar chip

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The interest in microwave imaging system is increasing because it can serve as a useful tool for concealed threat detecting. The current imaging systems have two major challenges: (i) multi-static arrays suffer from complex hardware design and ...

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Observation of nonlinear bands in near-field scanning optical microscopy of a photonic-crystal waveguide

open access: yes, 2014
We have measured the photonic bandstructure of GaAs photonic-crystal waveguides with high energy and momentum resolution using near-field scanning optical microscopy.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
