One microwave imaging system based on automotive radar chip

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The interest in microwave imaging system is increasing because it can serve as a useful tool for concealed threat detecting. The current imaging systems have two major challenges: (i) multi-static arrays suffer from complex hardware design and ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Scanning electrochemical microscopy for the characterisation of surfaces modified with biological molecules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This thesis describes a novel fabrication procedure for microelectrodes to be used with the scanning electrochemical microscope (SECM), the characterisation of a variety of novel impedance based immunosensors, and the characterisation of a novel ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Distribution-free specification tests of conditional models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This article proposes a class of asymptotically distribution-free specification tests for parametric conditional distributions. These tests are based on a martingale transform of a proper sequential empirical process of conditionally transformed data ...
