Continuous client-side query evaluation over dynamic linked data [PDF]
Existing solutions to query dynamic Linked Data sources extend the SPARQL language, and require continuous server processing for each query. Traditional SPARQL endpoints already accept highly expressive queries, so extending these endpoints for time ...

Statistical Analysis with Linked Data
Computerised Record Linkage methods help us combine multiple data sets from different sources when a single data set with all necessary information is unavailable or when data collection on additional variables is time consuming and extremely costly ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Using Linked Data Sources to Enhance Catalog Discovery
Our research explores how linked data sources and non-library metadata can support open-ended discovery of library resources. We also consider which experimental methods are best suited to the improvement of library catalog systems.

Chem# - Semantically Enriched Linked Open Chemical Data [PDF]
The problem: Vast quantities of chemical data (e.g. crystal structures, NMR spectra, experimental reports) are generated every day. The majority of this data is never published, and the data that is published is fragmented, trapped in legacy formats and ...

Plasmodium falciparum gametogenesis essential protein 1 (GEP1) is a transmission‐blocking target
This study shows Plasmodium falciparum GEP1 is vital for activating sexual stages of malarial parasites even independently of a mosquito factor. Knockout parasites completely fail gamete formation even when a phosphodiesterase inhibitor is added. Two single‐nucleotide polymorphisms (V241L and S263P) are found in 12%–20% of field samples.
