Recognizing the Health Benefits of Plant‐Sourced Omega‐3 Stearidonic Acid: Exploring Its Complementary Role to Preformed EPA/DHA

open access: yesLipids, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Long‐chain (LC) omega‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) like eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are crucial for optimal development, healthy aging, and disease management. Traditionally sourced from fatty fish, these omega‐3 PUFAs face sustainability challenges, prompting increased exploration of plant‐based ...

An ecological framework for microbial metabolites in the ocean ecosystem

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography Letters, EarlyView.
Abstract The ocean microbe‐metabolite network involves thousands of individual metabolites that encompass a breadth of chemical diversity and biological functions. These microbial metabolites mediate biogeochemical cycles, facilitate ecological relationships, and impact ecosystem health. While analytical advancements have begun to illuminate such roles,

Modulating the Spontaneous Adsorption of Lignin Nanoparticle at Oil‐Water Interfaces

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
The adsorption of lignin nanoparticles (LNPs) at oil‐water interfaces is investigated using the dynamic interfacial tension analysis and evaluated the effect of various control parameters on LNP adsorption capacity. Results indicated that the pH increasing supported the greater LNP adsorptions.
