Global Lipidome Workflow for Mycobacterium tuberculosis Using High‐Resolution Mass Spectrometry
Pre‐extraction cell homogenisation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) enhances lipid recovery by liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry. Relative to unhomogenised cells, signals for typically triacylglycerol, cardiolipin and phosphatidylethanolamine increase, broadening lipidome coverage and providing a straightforward means to obtain more ...

Optimised Sample Preparation for Metabolic Analysis of Cell Cultures Using DESI‐MS
Cell pellets are washed once with a 1:1 PBS/AA mixed solution for desalting and pipetted directly onto a reversed‐phase TLC slide as discrete spots and then analysed by desorption electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry imaging (DESI‐MSI). The same slide can be re‐measured for different mass ranges/acquisition modes, enabling comprehensive targeted ...

Sevoflurane exposure triggers iron‐dependent lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis, leading to synaptic damage and cognitive dysfunction. Targeted nanodelivery systems that cross the blood–brain barrier can precisely modulate ferroptotic pathways, reduce oxidative injury, and rescue synaptic integrity, offering a promising strategy for preventing ...

Metformin is the most widely prescribed antidiabetic drug, yet adherence remains difficult to objectively assess. Using untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics, we analyzed plasma from 637 patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) with confirmed metformin use and 143 nondiabetic controls, annotating 614 metabolites.
