In AKI, initial kidney injury upregulates the expression of Cav‐1, which subsequently binds to and stabilizes SERCA2 via its scaffolding domain and through deubiquitination, thereby regulating Ca2+ homeostasis and ER stress. Conversely, Cav‐1 deficiency accelerates SERCA2 degradation, triggering Ca2+ overload and ER stress, and ultimately exacerbating ...

Salivary lipocalin family proteins from Panstrongylus chinai, a vector of Chagas disease
The dataset in this report is related to the research article with the title: âSalivary gland transcripts of the kissing bug, Panstrongylus chinai, a vector of Chagas diseaseâ (Kato et al., 2017) [1].

A diverse set of neurodegenerative disorders are caused by abnormal extensions of polyglutamine (poly-Q) stretches in various, functionally unrelated proteins. A common feature of these diseases is altered proteostasis. Autophagy induction is part of the

SDPR–STK38 axis controls the proliferation–differentiation balance in alveolar type II cells
The present study identifies SDPR as a pivotal regulator orchestrating the balance between proliferation and differentiation in alveolar type II (AT2) cells. In SDPR+/+ cells, SDPR binds to and inhibits STK38 activity, thereby sustaining GSK‐3β signaling functionality to promote cyclin D1 degradation and maintain cell cycle homeostasis.

This study demonstrated elevated levels of fecal component 3 (C3) and fibronectin (FN) in an ulcerative colitis (UC) mouse model. Importantly, fecal C3 exhibited a stronger correlation with disease activity than the clinically used fecal calprotectin (FC).

Background: Lipocalins seem to explain the cross-reactivity between some pets like cat and dog. However, little has been studied its role in other animals and its possible clinical impact in allergy diseases.
