High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol – more complicated than we think?
There are some clinical situations where a high level of HDL cholesterol (HDL-C) may be unfavourable. In these situations, HDL-C may undergo some changes, and even if its quantity is within the reference range, its quality is no longer the same.Diabetes is the state of elevated oxidative stress.

ABSTRACT This study explored fasting‐induced physiological remodeling effects on meat quality in aged laying hens. Fasting for 15 days (F15) significantly reduced abdominal fat, intermuscular fat width, subcutaneous fat thickness, and liver index versus pre‐fasting (F0) (p < 0.05), which recovered post‐refeeding.

Imaging and force measurement of LDL and HDL by AFM in air and liquid
The size and biomechanical properties of lipoproteins are tightly correlated with their structures/functions. While atomic force microscopy (AFM) has been used to image lipoproteins the force measurement of these nano‐sized particles is missing.

Adipocytes in Aortic Stenosis: Association With Clinical and Morphological Indices
ABSTRACT Recently, great attention has been given to understanding the new pathogenetic mechanisms underlying aortic stenosis (AS). The study aims to understand the role of mature adipocytes in AS and their association with histologic, clinical, and echocardiographic data, an area previously overlooked in AS research.
