Pulse Magnetic Fields Induced Drug Release from Gold Coated Magnetic Nanoparticle Decorated Liposomes

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2020
Magnetic nanoparticle-assisted drug release from liposomes is an important way to enhance the functionality/usefulness of liposomes. This work demonstrates an approach how to integrate magnetic nanoparticles with liposomes with the assistance of gold ...

Purification and Reconstitution of the Glutamate Carrier GltT of the Thermophilic Bacterium Bacillus stearothermophilus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
An affinity tag consisting of six adjacent histidine residues followed by an enterokinase cleavage site was genetically engineered at the N-terminus of the glutamate transport protein GltT of the thermophilic bacterium Bacillus stearothermophilus.

Evaluation of liposomes coated with a pH responsive polymer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Liposomes have been coated with the pH responsive polymer, Eudragit S100, and the formulation's potential for lower gastrointestinal (GI) targeting following oral administration assessed.

PEGylated liposomes: immunological responses

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2019
A commonly held view is that nanocarriers conjugated to polyethylene glycol (PEG) are non-immunogenic. However, many studies have reported that unexpected immune responses have occurred against PEG-conjugated nanocarriers.

OBTAINING AND CHARACTERISTIC OF CURCUMIN LIPOSOMAL FORM [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnologia Acta, 2014
Creation of liposomal forms of curcumin (diferuloilmetane) was investegated in the work. The methods of preparation and determination of the obtained liposomes sizes and percentage of curcumin in liposomes are given.

Study of macroscopic and microscopic properties of liposomes produced using microfluidic methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
For the last decades, lipid vesicles or liposomes, vesicles formed by a bilayer of amphiphilic lipids, have been used as a toy model for studying the cell membrane and for applications in cosmetics and drug delivery.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Influence of Micro-mixing on the Size of Liposomes Self-Assembled from Miscible Liquid Phases

open access: yes, 2013
Ethanol injection and variations of it are a class of methods where two miscible phases---one of which contains dissolved lipids---are mixed together leading to the self-assembly of lipid molecules to form liposomes. This method has been suggested, among

Unidirectional Reconstitution into Detergent-destabilized Liposomes of the Purified Lactose Transport System of Streptococcus thermophilus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The lactose transport protein (LacS) of Streptococcus thermophilus was amplified to levels as high as 8 and 30% of total membrane protein in Escherichia coli and S. thermophilus, respectively.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
