Exergy Analysis of an Absorption Refrigeration System Using an Iconic Liquid as a Working Fluid in the Chemical Compressor [PDF]
The first and second law of thermodynamics are applied to an ionic-liquid (IL) based absorption refrigeration system for high power electronics cooling. The IL is a salt in a liquid state usually with an organic cation and inorganic anion. It provides an

Adenosine triphosphate as a modulator of protein interactions and stability
ATP is best known as the cell's energy currency, but it also shapes how proteins fold, interact, aggregate and form biomolecular condensates. This review explains the emerging physical principles behind these effects, including weak binding to charged protein regions, magnesium‐dependent behaviour and concentration‐dependent control of protein ...

New methods for the computer simulation of macromolecular liquid crystals [PDF]
Molecular simulation of macromolecular liquid crystal (LC) systems has so far been limited by a number of factors: the large size of the molecules themselves and the fact that mesophase formation takes place on length and timescales that are not ...

We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

New Method and Platforms for Liquid Phase Based Proteome Separation and Identification [PDF]
The complexity of proteome brings great challenge and opportunity to promote the development of new techniques for liquid phase based proteome analysis. In our recent study, with newly developed methods and platforms, great improvement on proteome sample

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Yield of Protein Crystallization from Metastable Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation
Preparative protein crystallization is regarded as an economically sustainable protein purification alternative to chromatography in biotechnological downstream processing. However, protein crystallization is a not-well-understood process that is usually

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.
