Sloshing response of partially filled rectangular tank under periodic horizontal ground motion.
The event caused due to the movement of the unrestricted free surface liquid in container due to any external excitation is known as sloshing. The problem of liquid sloshing phenomenon in stationary or in moving container is a great matter of concern for

Simulation on impact of liquid sloshing on baffles in liquid tankers
The baffles of some road tankers for liquefied gas (hereinafter referred to as liquid tankers) are found to be cracked or fallen off during the regular inspection. If the failed baffles are not repaired and replaced in time, the safe operation of the liquid tankers will be seriously affected.

Damping of liquid sloshing by floating balls
Sloshing in partially filled containers is a key phenomenon for the design of offshore structures such as liquefied natural gas carriers, floating production storage and offloading platforms, crude oil carriers, and floating liquefied natural gas vessels, due to large sloshing force acting on container's walls.

Methods for Control of Liquid Slosh [PDF]
Horizontal movement of liquid containers is a common operation in an industrial packaging machine. During the movement the acceleration of the container induces motion of the liquid within the container, this is referred to as liquid slosh or liquid vibration.

Liquid Sloshing Damping in an Elastic Container
It is proposed to investigate in this paper the damped vibrations of an incompressible liquid contained in a deformable tank. A linearized formulation describing the small movements of the system is presented. At first, a diagonal damping is introduced in the reduced equations of the hydroelastic sloshing problem.

This paper presents a method to damp sloshing in a liquid container during its transfer in a cart equipped with an active vibration reducer having a six-degree-of-freedom parallel linkage. Sloshing is generated during the liquid container's transfer.
