Worldwide Distribution of Major Clones of Listeria monocytogenes
Listeria monocytogenes is worldwide a pathogen, but the geographic distribution of clones remains largely unknown. Genotyping of 300 isolates from the 5 continents and diverse sources showed the existence of few prevalent and globally distributed clones,

The antitumor immune response is attenuated in T cell‐specific Ezh2 knockout mice. ABSTRACT Appropriate regulation of the differentiation balance between effector CD8+ T cells and memory CD8+ T cells is crucial for an appropriate immune response. We previously reported that the tumor suppressor menin suppresses the differentiation of CD8+ T cells into ...

ABSTRACT Background Bloodstream infections remain a major cause of mortality among cancer patients. Pathogen surveillance and risk stratification tools are key to improved management. This study describes trends in causative pathogens and explores risk factors for positive blood cultures (PBCs) and post‐infection mortality in cancer patients.

Mechanistic insights into HapC: A key enzyme in prodiginine biosynthesis in Hahella chejuensis
HapC catalyzes prodiginine biosynthesis through coordinated movements of its ATP‐binding, substrate‐binding, and catalytic‐swivel domains. The enzyme shows tolerance toward short‐chain MAP analogs, and docking analyses reveal key residues and structural features underlying its substrate flexibility.

Cryo‐EM structures of multiple‐peptide resistance factor (MprF) from Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Cryo‐EM analysis of MprF from Pseudomonas aeruginosa reveals a dimeric enzyme, distinct from Rhizobium homologues. The soluble GNAT domain contains a dynamic amphipathic helix (TTH) that adopts different positions in detergent micelle and nanodisc, relative to the membrane.

The presence of Listeria monocytogenes in food
Az élelmiszer eredetű megbetegedések egyre gyakrabban fordulnak elő, hazánkban és világviszonylatban is. A népesség növekedésével az élelmiszergyártás nagyüzemivé vált.

Unraveling the active site cover of coproheme decarboxylase from Listeria monocytogenes
During heme biosynthesis in Gram‐positive bacteria, coproheme decarboxylase (ChdC) catalyzes the conversion of four‐propionate substrate coproheme to the two propionate product heme b. Its active site is universally covered by a flexible linking loop. This study identifies an important histidine residue, which stabilizes the loop in a ChdC homolog.
