A Data-Oriented Model of Literary Language [PDF]

We consider the task of predicting how literary a text is, with a gold standard from human ratings. Aside from a standard bigram baseline, we apply rich syntactic tree fragments, mined from the training set, and a series of hand-picked features.

Astrocyte‐Guided Maturation of Neural Constructs in a Modular Biosynthetic Hydrogel for Biohybrid Neurotechnologies

A modular biosynthetic PVA–gelatin hydrogel crosslinked via visible‐light thiol‐ene chemistry is engineered as a coating for neural electrodes. Optimizing matrix composition and mechanical properties enables the hydrogel to support astrocytic populations that guide neural differentiation and functional maturation.

Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae.
