สมบัติเชิงหน้าที่ของยีนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเกิดเมลาโนซิสในกุ้งขาวแปซิฟิก Litopenaeus vannamei

White Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei
2017The importation of shrimp into Japan at more than 250,000 tons/year is thought to be related in certain aspects to the serious environmental problems that have been caused by shrimp farming in Southeast Asian countries. This includes mangrove deforestation and marine pollution due to the discharge of wastes and leftover feed from intensive and semi ...

Activity of trypsin from Litopenaeus vannamei
Aquaculture, 2009Abstract The trypsin of Litopenaeus vannamei is a polymorphic molecule. Three sequences are translated in the digestive gland of this species. In some individuals, there are 2 isozyme forms and others have 3 that form 3 trypsin phenotypes. Changes in the activity of trypsin do not occur because they turn off or on a specific isozyme, but the ...

Structural and functional differences of Litopenaeus vannamei crustins
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 2004Penaeid crustins were described in Litopenaeus vannamei and L. setiferus as proteins belonging to an antibacterial peptide family with similar sequences but different sizes. Six crustin-coding clones were isolated from a cDNA library from L. vannamei hemocytes, sequenced and compared.

Hemocyanin from shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei shows hemolytic activity
Fish & Shellfish Immunology, 2009Hemocyanin is an extracellular copper-containing protein present in the hemolymph of both mollusks and arthropods. The traditionally recognized function of hemocyanin is for oxygen transport. Lately, it was demonstrated that hemocyanin is a multifunctional protein, especially participating in multiple roles of immune defense.

The response of crustaceans to pathogens is believed to depend solely on innate, nonadaptive immune mechanisms, including phagocytosis, encapsulation, clotting, and a variety of soluble antimicrobial activities. Arthropod antimicrobial peptides, while characterized primarily from insects, also have been isolated from crustaceans. Expressed sequence tag

Noradrenaline modulates the immunity of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei
Fish & Shellfish Immunology, 2006The total haemocyte count (THC), phenoloxidase activity, respiratory burst, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, phagocytic activity and clearance efficiency in response to pathogen Vibrio alginolyticus were measured when the white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei (18.4 +/- 1.2 g) were injected individually with noradrenaline at 10(-8), 10(-7) and 10(-6 ...
