Study on In Vitro Metabolism and In Vivo Pharmacokinetics of Beauvericin

open access: yesToxins, 2022
Beauvericin (BEA) is a well-known mycotoxin produced by many fungi, including Beaveria bassiana. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the in vitro distribution and metabolism characteristics as well as the in vivo pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of BEA.

Phospholipid synthesis and exchange between rat liver microsomes and mitochondria in the presence of benzo(a)pyrene.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1980
Benzo(a)pyrene injection increased the phospholipid content in membranes of rat liver mitochondria and microsomes. There was a large relative increase of phosphatidylcholine, especially in microsomes, as compared with normal liver.

Studies on the inhibitory effect of isavuconazole on flumatinib metabolism in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2023
As the validated agent for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), flumatinib is a novel oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) with higher potency and selectivity for BCR-ABL1 kinase compared to imatinib.

Liver microsomal epoxide hydrase.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1977
1. The substrate specificity of membrane-bound and purified epoxide hydrase from rat liver microsomes has been studied. Both enzyme preparations catalyzed the hydration of a variety of alkene oxidase as well as arene oxides of several polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. 2. Unlike the membrane-bound enzyme, the rate of hydration for most of the substrates

Interspecies Variation in NCMN-O-Demethylation in Liver Microsomes from Various Species

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
NCMN (N-(3-carboxy propyl)-4-methoxy-1,8-naphthalimide), a newly developed ratiometric two-photon fluorescent probe for human Cytochrome P450 1A (CYP1A), shows the best combination of specificity and reactivity for real-time detection of the enzymatic ...

Hydroxymethylglutaryl CoA reductase and the modulation of microsomal cholesterol content by the nonspecific lipid transfer protein.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1984
The influence of membrane cholesterol content on 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl CoA reductase (HMG-CoA reductase, EC 1.1.1.34) in rat liver microsomes was investigated.

Effect of blood plasma lipoproteins on hydroxylation of benzo[a]pyrene in liver microsomes of rats

open access: yesАтеросклероз, 2020
This work presents the characteristics of the catalytic activity of hydroxylation of benzo[a] pyrene (B[a]P) in rat liver microsomes using plasma lipoproteins (LP) (VLDL, LDL, HDL) as transport forms of B[a]P.

Human Liver Microsomal Metabolism of (+)-Discodermolide [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Natural Products, 2009
The polyketide natural product (+)-discodermolide is a potent microtubule stabilizer that has generated considerable interest in its synthetic, medicinal, and biological chemistry. It progressed to early clinical oncology trials, where it showed some efficacy in terms of disease stabilization but also some indications of causing pneumotoxicity ...

Digitoxin metabolism by rat liver microsomes [PDF]

open access: yesBiochemical Pharmacology, 1975
Background: Malnutrition among hospitalized patients increases length of stay (LOS) and carries extra hospitalization costs. Objective: To review the impact of malnutrition on hospital LOS and costs in Europe. Methods: PubMed and Google Scholar search. All articles from January 2004 until November 2014 were identified.
