Altered long noncoding RNA profile after intracerebral hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, 2019
Objective We investigated the expression pattern of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) and messenger RNAs (mRNA) from two different intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) rat models, and performed gene ontology and gene/protein interaction analyses.

The binding of lncRNA RP11-732M18.3 with 14-3-3 β/α accelerates p21 degradation and promotes glioma growthResearch in context

open access: yesEBioMedicine, 2019
Background: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified as regulators of a number of developmental and tumorigenic processes. However, the functions of most lncRNAs in glioma remain unknown and the mechanisms governing the proliferation of tumor ...

LncRNA-TBP mediates TATA-binding protein recruitment to regulate myogenesis and induce slow-twitch myofibers

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling, 2023
Background Skeletal muscle is comprised of heterogeneous myofibers that differ in their physiological and metabolic parameters. Of these, slow-twitch (type I; oxidative) myofibers have more myoglobin, more mitochondria, and higher activity of oxidative ...

The effect of microRNA-375 overexpression, an inhibitor of Helicobacter pylori-induced carcinogenesis, on lncRNA SOX2OT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background: Helicobacter pylori is a major human pathogenic bacterium in gastric mucosa. Although the association between gastric cancer and H. pylori has been well-established, the molecular mechanisms underlying H.

Single cell analysis reveals the involvement of the long non-coding RNA Pvt1 in the modulation of muscle atrophy and mitochondrial network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as important players in the regulation of several aspects of cellular biology. For a better comprehension of their function, it is fundamental to determine their tissue or cell specificity and to identify their

LPI-KTASLP: Prediction of LncRNA-Protein Interaction by Semi-Supervised Link Learning With Multivariate Information

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Long non-coding RNA, also known as lncRNA, is a series of single-stranded polynucleotides (no less than 200 nucleotides each), consisting of non-protein coding transcripts.

A machine learning framework that integrates multi-omics data predicts cancer-related LncRNAs

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2021
Background LncRNAs (Long non-coding RNAs) are a type of non-coding RNA molecule with transcript length longer than 200 nucleotides. LncRNA has been novel candidate biomarkers in cancer diagnosis and prognosis.

A novel lncRNA as a positive regulator of carotenoid biosynthesis in Fusarium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The fungi Fusarium oxysporum and Fusarium fujikuroi produce carotenoids, lipophilic terpenoid pigments of biotechnological interest, with xanthophyll neurosporaxanthin as the main end product.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.
