lncRNA-ACOD1: GOT2 has got a lncRNA cofactor
In spite of the limited information encoded in viral genomes, viruses can infect and replicate in complex organisms. Evolution has selected viruses able to use cellular factors to achieve viral entry, viral protein expression, and viral replication, packaging and release.

Progress in research on osteoporosis secondary to SARS‐CoV‐2 infection
This review explores the potential mechanisms, complications, risk factors, and future research directions related to osteoporosis secondary to SARS‐CoV‐2 infection. Key mechanisms include an imbalance between osteoclast and osteoblast activity driven by direct viral effects on bone, inflammation, hypoxia, dysregulation of noncoding RNAs, and metabolic

Three m7G‐related lncRNAs (LINC00412, REPIN1‐AS1, and RPH3AL‐AS1) are associated with the prognosis of gastric cancer patients and may be novel biomarkers. These lncRNAs may also have an influence on the immune status of gastric cancer patients. Abstract Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) may act as a biomarker to predict the overall survival (OS) of cancer ...

Study of lncRNADSCR9 expression rate in colorectal cancer patients
Background and Aims: Studies have shown that lncRNA DSCR9 prevents cancer and inflammation and its expression leads to anti-tumor activity. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between lncRNA DSCR9 expression and the risk of colon ...

KLF4 (Krüppel‐like factor 4) plays a protective role in blood–brain barrier (BBB). KLF4 plays an ambiguous role in the central nervous system. KLF4 in the BBB endothelial cells could be a potential target for Alzheimer's disease. Abstract Alzheimer's disease is the most prevalent chronic neurodegenerative disorder worldwide, with no sufficient cure ...

Human Y-chromosome gene classification using Fractal Dimension & Shannon Entropy [PDF]
All genes on the human Y-chromosome were studied using fractal dimension and Shannon entropy. Clear outlier clusters were identified. Among these were 6 sequences that have since been withdrawn as CDSs and 1 additional sequence that is not in the current assembly.
