m5C‐Modified tRF3b‐CysGCA‐23 Suppresses Bladder Cancer Malignancy by Repressing H3K18 Lactylation via Stabilizing RBM4

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we identified an NSUN6‐dependent m5C‐modified tsRNA, m5C‐tRF3b CysGCA‐23 (mtRC), that is downregulated in BC and inversely correlated with disease progression. Mechanistically, mtRC suppresses BC malignancy by stabilizing RBM4, attenuating glycolysis, and thereby limiting H3K18 lactylation–mediated activation of IL1RAP and VASH2 ...

An epigenomic approach to identifying differential overlapping and cis-acting lncRNAs in cisplatin-resistant cancer cells

open access: yesEpigenetics, 2018
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are critical regulators of cell biology whose alteration can lead to the development of diseases such as cancer. The potential role of lncRNAs and their epigenetic regulation in response to platinum treatment are largely ...

Cars2‐Mediated Cysteine Catabolism Drives Brown Fat Development and Thermogenesis Through Persulfidating EBF2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that Cars2, a cysteine catabolic enzyme in mouse iBAT, is critical for cold tolerance and brown adipocyte differentiation. Through its CPERS activity, Cars2 produces CysSSH/H2S to induce EBF2 persulfidation, promoting its interaction with PPARγ and BRG1 to enhance thermogenic gene expression.

Long noncoding RNA expression in the cervix mid-pregnancy is associated with the length of gestation at delivery

open access: yesEpigenetics, 2018
Infants born preterm are at increased risk of multiple morbidities and mortality. Why some women deliver preterm remains poorly understood. Prior studies have shown that cervical microRNA expression and DNA methylation are associated with the length of ...

From Cell‐Free Transcriptomes to Single‐Cell Landscapes: Biomarker Discovery and Originating Cell Alteration Analysis via Graph Matrix Factorization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CellFreeGMF traces plasma cfRNA to likely originating cell types by integrating single‐cell atlases with graph‐regularized matrix factorization. The method decomposes cfRNA profiles into sample–cell contributions to reconstruct pseudo single‐cell expression.

The Regulatory Roles of Long-non-Coding RNAs in Chemotherapy-Resistant Metastatic Breast Cancer [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Biomedical Sciences, 2020
Currently, breast cancer is the most prevalent malignancy worldwide, with the largest prevalence and mortality among women. The invasion and metastasis are the main causes of death from malignancies. However, the main mechanism of invasion and metastasis

Epigenomic regulation of heart failure: integrating histone marks, long noncoding RNAs, and chromatin architecture. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Epigenetic processes are known to have powerful roles in organ development across biology. It has recently been found that some of the chromatin modulatory machinery essential for proper development plays a previously unappreciated role in the ...

The Role of Extracellular Vesicles MicroRNAs in Sarcopenia: From Aging to Multi‐Morbidity

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Exosomes transporting miRNAs play a crucial bidirectional regulatory role in the process of sarcopenia, both in natural aging and under various pathological conditions. ABSTRACT Sarcopenia, defined as progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, occurs during aging and has also been recognized for its detrimental effects in various disease ...

Altered Expression of Long Non-Coding RNAs NEAT1, H19, and MALAT1 in Peripheral Blood ‎Cells of Patients with Allergic Rhinitis after Treatment with Pharmaceutical Combinations of ‎ Budesonide and Fexofenadine versus Fluticasone Propionate and Fexofenadine

open access: yesمجله علمی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کردستان, 2023
Background and Aim: Allergic rhinitis is the most common chronic inflammatory disorder of the nasal mucosa. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) are a group of non-coding RNAs involved in the pathogenesis of various inflammatory diseases. This study intended to
