Skin is the first line of the body to resist pathogen invasion. A potentially fatal infection may result from problems with wound healing. Small molecule drugs like astragaloside IV (AS‐IV) show pro‐healing activities, but the mechanisms are not fully ...

Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs), a broad class of non‐protein‐coding RNAs, are characterized as new regulators of gene expression at the epigenetic, transcriptional, and post‐transcriptional level. Thus, lncRNAs are involved in the regulation of physiological processes and the development of human diseases and cancer by modulating proinflammatory ...

The H19/miR‐760/BST2 regulatory axis sustains breast cancer tumorigenesis and metastasis
H19 and BST2 promote breast cancer aggressiveness through their reciprocal coregulation by miR‐760. Since both transcripts are targeted by miR‐760, overexpression of one sequesters the microRNA and relieves repression of the other: H19 raises BST2 levels, and BST2 raises H19 levels.

There is growing evidence that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are significant contributors to the epigenetic mechanisms implicated in the emergence, progression and metastasis of the colorectal cancer (CRC), but many remain underexplored. A novel lncRNA

Long non-coding RNA H19 promotes glioma cell invasion by deriving miR-675. [PDF]
H19 RNA has been characterized as an oncogenic long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in breast and colon cancer. However, the role and function of lncRNA H19 in glioma development remain unclear.

Unraveling the epigenetic code in cancer cell–tumor microenvironment crosstalk
Epigenetic regulation is a key driver of cancer development and progression. Diverse epigenetic alterations in cancer cells and components of the tumor microenvironment (TME) orchestrate their communication through multiple mechanisms. We discuss how the epigenetic code coordinates bidirectional cancer cell–TME crosstalk to promote cancer progression ...

An emerging potential therapeutic target for osteoporosis: LncRNA H19/miR-29a-3p axis
Osteoporosis (OP) is a complex systemic disease characterized by a loss of bone density, leading to bone fragility and an increase risk of fractures of the hip, spine and wrist. The clinical therapeutic effect is still far from satisfactory.
