Subjective comparison of brightness preservation methods for local backlight dimming displays [PDF]
Local backlight dimming is a popular technology in high quality Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs). In those displays, the backlight is composed of contributions from several individually adjustable backlight segments, set at different backlight luminance levels in different parts of the screen, according to the luma of the target image displayed on LCD.

Compensating the Meniscus Effect in Phase Contrast Microscopy Using an LCD for Adaptive Condenser Annulus Shifting. [PDF]
We present a method to compensate for the meniscus effect in phase contrast microscopy by using an LCD instead of a fixed condenser annulus. This approach enables adaptive annulus shifting based on image analysis, resulting in an increase in the phase contrast area by a factor of 8.3.

Joint transformer progressive self‐calibration network for low light enhancement
A progressive network model (PSCNet) is designed to restore high‐quality enhanced images combined with convolutional neural networks, encoder‐decoder structures, and transformer. Abstract When the lighting conditions are poor and the environmental light is weak, the image captured by the imaging device often has lower brightness and is accompanied by a

Research on 3D reconstruction technology of large‐scale substation equipment based on NeRF
High quality 3D model is the key to digital twinning and visualization. In this paper, the NeRF (Neural Radiation Field) is applied to greatly improve the speed and accuracy of 3D reconstruction of large‐scale substation equipment. Compared with the traditional 3D reconstruction method, the speed is improved by 23–55 times and the accuracy is improved ...
